2023-2024

Welcome to the 2023-2024 DWC Season Registration! We want to thank you in advance for giving us the opportunity to work with the young girls and boys in our community to pass on our love for the sport for wrestling.

 

This season we will run three programs.

 

The Beginners program is geared toward kids new to the sport. We focus on basic wrestling agility and fundamental wrestling moves that we can build on throughout our athletes wrestling careers. We also believe in having a lot of fun and play wrestling related games every night to end practice. We will have ~ 8 practices and an Intra-Squad meet where they get to show off what they have learned for friends and family. Additional information can be found below.

 

The Elementary Duals Team(s) is geared towards intermediate and advanced youth wrestlers. Designed to build on the fundamentals, teaching increasingly advanced technique to prepare our young athletes to compete at the next level. Kids have an opportunity to compete for a position on the Elementary Dual Team. This team will travel to ~5 tournaments and compete against other school based teams in a dual meet format, very similar to what they will experience at NPJH and NPHS. Addition information can be found below.  We intend to have two Dual teams (Red & White) in the 2023-2024 season.    DWC is the 2021-22 AND the 2022-23 STATE CHAMPIONS!!

 

The Freestyle/ Folkstyle / Greco Program is during Individual season and is geared towards Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced youth wrestlers. Designed to build on the fundamentals, teaching increasingly advanced technique to prepare our young athletes to compete at the next level.  Tournaments and Beginner tournaments can be found on www.Trackwrestling.com and will be self-registration. 

INFORMATION

Beginners Program (Available K-6th)

  • Who: this program is intended for first time wrestlers who are interested in learning the basic fundamentals of wrestling
  • When: 11/01/2023 through 11/30/2023
  • Grades: K- 6th
  • Where: NPHS Wresting Room
  • Practices: Monday and Wednesday 6:00-7:00pm
  • Cost: $40 (includes T-shirt)
  • Season will conclude with Intrasquad meet

NOTE: For insurance purposes all wrestlers will need to register for a USAW card (additional $40, link on DWC site)

Dual Competition Team (Available K-6th)

21-22 Indiana State Champions

22-23 Indiana State Champions

  • Who: this program is intended more experienced wrestlers who are interested in continuing to advance their wrestling skills while representing the Dragon Wrestling Club in tournaments throughout Indiana
  • When: 11/02/2023 through 01/15/2024
  • Ages: K - 6th
  • Where: NPHS Wresting Room
  • Practices: Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30pm
  • Cost: $60 (includes T-shirt)

**Optional:  Gear Package will available soon      

NOTE: For insurance purposes all wrestlers will need to register for a USAW card (additional $40, link on DWC site)

 

Folkstyle / Freestyle / Greco (Available K-12th)

  • Who:  this program is open to open to all wrestlers interested in continuing to develop their wrestling skills
  • When: 11/02/2023 through 05/07/2024
  • Ages: K - 12th
  • Where: NPHS Wresting Room
  • Practices: Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:30pm
  • Cost: $50 (includes T-shirt)

Please note that the wrestler MUST register HERE for a USAW Card and the cost is $40 but includes insurance coverage. Please see the help page HERE for a step-by-step guide on how to register. There will be On-site support to assist with registration on 0 NOV and 02 NOV from 6 PM-7 PM at the NPHS Dragon Wrestling Room

This registration will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. 

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Dragon Wrestling Club.
